A name or location entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its own results. Westchester County Criminal History does not keep a separate log or stored copy of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the related correspondence. It remains internal unless disclosure is required by a binding legal duty.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Westchester County Criminal History does not build, host, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its content identifies official sources such as County Police, the Westchester County Department of Correction, court clerks, the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, and the New York State Sex Offender Registry. Under Executive Law §837 and 9 NYCRR Part 6050, DCJS controls criminal-history dissemination; its fingerprint-linked rap sheets are not open to the public through FOIL. Visitor information is not assembled into a criminal profile or consumer report. This website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and sharing rules govern data submitted through those tools. This policy does not control a partner's system, so review its terms before entering a query.

Links may lead to Westchester County departments, New York courts, state agencies, legal services, and private tools. Once a visitor leaves this domain, the destination's privacy policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
